EL CAMINO DE LA BELLEZA
¿Cuál es el sentido del Arte hoy en día?. ¿Cuál es el sentido de la belleza? Cuando no son ni entretenimiento para las masas ni esclavos de los estereotipos pasajeros de las modas, ¿hacia dónde nos dirigen hoy?, ¿qué tienen que decirnos?
Sergei Paradjanov fue y sigue siendo un faro, un guía para quienes buscan en la belleza y en el Arte quizá la única vía de salvación, de evolución, para la humanidad. Su persistencia en ello durante una vida sometida a grandes y terribles pruebas lo demuestra.
En un mundo tan anclado aún a las viejas leyes regidas por el intento de dominación de los unos sobre los otros, las guerras y la “indiferencia taciturna” que decía el poeta Rubén Darío, necesitamos faros como Paradjanov para continuar navegando rumbo a nuevas leyes; las leyes que profetizan el Arte y la belleza desde el comienzo de los tiempos.
No somos máquinas de destrucción ni carne para ser destruida. Somos seres humanos en continua gestación con capacidades aún insospechadas. Este es un film para recuperar la dignidad que nos pertenece a través de la figura de Paradjanov, de su arte, de su mirada y de los lugares que amó y habitó. Un retrato de quien buscó en el pasado y en la tradición las semillas de un futuro más luminoso. Un tributo ofrendado en el templo de la Belleza.

THE WAY OF BEAUTY
What is the meaning of Art today, what is the meaning of Beauty? When they are neither entertainment for the masses nor slaves to the passing stereotypes of fashions, where do they lead us today, what do they have to tell us?
Sergei Paradjanov was and remains a beacon, a guide for those who seek in Beauty and in Art perhaps the only way of salvation, of evolution, for humanity. His persistence despite a life subjected to great and terrible trials proves it.
In a world still so anchored to the old laws governed by the attempt of domination of one over the others, wars and the "taciturn indifference" as the poet Rubén Darío said, we need a lighthouse like Paradjanov to continue navigating towards new laws; the laws that prophesy Art and Beauty since the beginning of time.
We are neither machines of destruction nor flesh to be destroyed. We are human beings in continuous gestation with unsuspected capacities. This is a film to recover the dignity that belongs to us through the figure of Paradjanov, his art, his gaze and the places he loved and inhabited. A portrait of someone who sought in the past and in tradition the seeds of a brighter future. A tribute offered in the temple of Beauty.
